Edenbright Brittanys is a prime example of what to look for in a quality breeder. I was put at ease from our very first conversation. I was very impressed with the way she took the time to hear about my family and what we were looking for in a puppy, since we already had a Brittany in our household. It is apparent that she takes great care to ensure that her puppies go to good homes that will be the right fit. All of her dogs are well-cared for, and she is very transparent about her process of socializing each and every one of her puppies. Our puppy was even almost completely housebroken when we got him at 9 weeks old! We also love having access to a Facebook page for all Edenbright owners, it is so much fun to scroll through pictures and updates of our puppy’s littermates and cousins. My husband and I could not be more happy with our Whiskey (pictures included). Thank you Edenbright for giving us a healthy, happy, truly exceptional Brittany puppy!

Got our new puppy on January 2023 from this breeder. Great communication from the start! When we arrived to pick up our pup, I was impressed by how well the dogs lived there. Lots of open area to roam, lots of friends. It was a paradise for Brittany’s! My 13 year old actually said “I want to be a Brittany that lives here!” Oh, and our puppy is healthy, sweet, and yes….full of endless energy! Highly recommend!!!

Our family’s first, Brittany, was a rescue, and she had a tail. We fell in love with a Brittany with a tail. We decided it was time for another Brittany as we no longer have Penny. We decided to rescue a Brittany again as a foster to adopt. Unfortunately, she did not work out because our Schnauzer and her did not get along. So, we decided to hunt for a breeder that would allow us to get a Brittany puppy with a tail. The owners at Edenbright Brittany’s are excellent and super honest. Edenbright Brittany’s knew we lived near Chicago, IL, and offered to introduce us to another breeder much closer. However, we are not a hunting family. We wanted a quality pet/performance Brittany with a tail, so we stayed with Edenbright and could not be happier about the decision. Living so far away from South East Georgia, Edenbright Brittany’s provided plenty of videos of all the puppies and great temperament traits reviews. When we are ready for another Brittany, we will choose an Edenbright puppy. Meet Freya from Bea and Samson litter.

I am an experienced dog owner however I have never had as good an experience with a breeder as I di with Edenbright. Numerous updates, pics and videos. Outstanding puppy socialization. She described each puppy’s attributes and with mine she was spot on. My first Brittany, but I have to say the best breeder!

Edenbright Brittany’s are a perfect example of a quality breeder. Donielle cares deeply for her dogs and her customers. Her dogs are exceptional in every way because of the care she puts into her puppies. She also provides a support network that connects her, the owners, and their dogs so that we can all enjoy the experiences of life with a Brittany together.

After deciding on the Brittany breed for their overall good health, loving temperament and intelligence we began our search for the breeder. Over several months talking to breeders, visiting some classic breeding kennels and reading reviews and comments we decided on Edenbright Brittanys. In June 2022, (from Hazel and Tucker) our baby girl was born. Nicole (owner) provided a great start for our puppy. Edenbright Brittanys is not your classic breeder/kennel as the dogs are raised in Nicole’s home as a part of the family. Nicole provides hands on loving care, which clearly she enjoys, in a clean environment, with socialization and positive stimulation. We could not be happier with our puppy. Thank you Nicole for our beautiful girl and we would gladly get a second puppy from Edenbright Brittanys as they are bright from the start.
Whether you buy one of my puppies or someone else’s, you should always ask yourself the following questions:
  1. Have the puppies been vaccinated by a vet? Many breeders attempt to vaccinate their puppies at home to save time and money. Unfortunately, this has resulted in an increase in breakthrough cases of Parvo and Distemper among puppies. All vaccines have some efficacy deficiency depending on administration and environment, even those given by a vet, but a good breeder isn’t going to try and cut corner to save money if they know that there is a much higher chance of keeping their puppies and dogs safe from disease by allowing expert professionals to do what they are trained to do. All our puppies’ vaccinations are given by a licensed veterinarian.
  2. Have the puppies ever seen a vet? Not all puppies get a health check from a veterinarian. Another way breeders try to save money and cut corners. Every puppy should come with a detailed patient history from a licensed veterinarian with contact information.
  3. Do the puppies come from dogs of proven temperaments? There are many ways for a breeder to ‘prove’ their dogs’ temperaments. AKC and Breed Club events and evaluations are the best way to prove that a dog is of sound temperament and condition. However, please remember, that the event/evaluation is an indicator of the temperament of the dog – dogs that excel in obedience and companion dog titles (such as conformation shows and scent work) will typically have a less driven, hyperactive demeanor as they are required to sit and stand for long periods of time while encounter a lot of activity and stimulation. Dogs that compete in agility, field trials and hunt tests will also be trainable and biddable, but the energy and stamina that requires a dog to excel in those events may be difficult for the average person to handle. All of our dogs, while still Brittanys and still considered active dogs, participate in companion animal events and evaluations.
  4. Does the breeder supply you with a health guarantee? This is critical. Any breeder not willing to back up their dogs with a health guarantee or a buy back policy should be avoided at all costs.

Any breeder that refuses to show pedigrees, be open about whether or not they health test, or doesn’t offer a health guarantee is not to be trusted. Have the breeder show you the certifications, or better yet look them up yourself.

If not, move on. While Brittanys are a very healthy breed and suffer from few inherited health problems, other overbred, popular dog breeds are prone to severe genetic diseases and behavioral issues that present themselves fairly quickly. You will be able to get a puppy for less money, but is it really worth it if your puppy dies at age 3 or 4 or has hip dysplasia and you end up having surgery on your dog before they are even 2 years old? At the end of the day, what have you really saved?

Edenbright Brittanys serves mostly Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee, but we have puppies in homes ranging from New York to Washington State. Buyers come from all over the USA for our highly ethical and responsible breeding practices of Brittanys. Our American Brittanys and our American Brittany Puppies are healthy and we often have Brittany Puppies for sale several times a year. Edenbright Brittanys is considered one of the Best Brittany Breeders in the Nation for our healthy pups and our progressive, ethical breeding program.
